INTRODUCTION TO DRESS MAKING: THE WRAP SKIRT

Sewing machines (you are welcome to bring yours if you like)
Pattern making paper, pencils and markers.

the day you book the course.
Learn how to measure yourself, cut out a pattern and alter the length if necessary, as well as how to pin the pattern accurately on the fabric. You will then learn how to use the overlock machine, construct the skirt, cut and sew the strings and frills and finish the seams. Then we’ll teach you how to attach a waistband, and you will leave with your skirt and your pattern. If there is no time to finish the hems, we'll do it for you for free and you can pick up your clothes in few days!
Your sewing level:
This is a beginner’s dressmaking class so no experience of dressmaking is required but you do need to know how to use a sewing machine. We will expect you to be have taken the Master the sewing machine course or be at an equivalent standard.
